The 2007 Grand Prix of Canada was held on June 10 2007. It was the 6th event of the season. The Grand Prix was held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve circuit and was 70 laps long. The race was won by Lewis Hamilton. It was the 1st win of the season for Hamilton. He would eventually get 4 wins in 2007. The Brit, who drove for McLaren-Mercedes, finished the race in 1:44:11.292. He had a lead of 4.3 secs to Nick Heidfeld who came in second and finished 5.3 secs in front of Alexander Wurz who was third. Of the 22 drivers who competed in the race, 8 retired. After the race Lewis Hamilton was leading the driver championship with 48 points. Because of his win Lewis Hamilton went from P2 to P1.
It was the 39th time that the Grand Prix of Canada was held and the 29th time at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve circuit.
