The race was won by Lewis Hamilton. It was the 1st win of the season for Hamilton. He would eventually get 3 wins in 2011. The Brit, who drove for McLaren-Mercedes, finished the race in +0.0secs. He had a lead of 5.1 secs to Sebastian Vettel who came in second and finished 7.5 secs in front of Mark Webber who was third. Of the 24 drivers who competed in the race, 1 retired. After the race Sebastian Vettel was leading the driver championship with 68 points. Because of his win Lewis Hamilton went from P3 to P2.
