The 2011 Grand Prix of Europe was held on June 26 2011. It was the 8th event of the season. The Grand Prix was held at the Valencia Street Circuit and was 57 laps long. The race was won by Sebastian Vettel. It was the 6th win of the season for Vettel. He would eventually get 11 wins in 2011 and become champion. The German, who drives for Red Bull-Renault, had a lead of 10.8 secs to Fernando Alonso who came in second and finished 27.2 secs in front of Mark Webber who was third. Of the 24 drivers who competed in the race, 0 retired. Sebastian Vettel remained 1st and extended his lead with 17 points to 77 points.
It was the 21st time that the Grand Prix of Europe was held and the 4th time at the Valencia Street Circuit.
